Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Helper Distribusi Barang di Gudang Pusat to join our logistics team at a fast‑growing distribution centre serving East Java and Bali. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that goods move smoothly from the warehouse to final destinations, supporting drivers, handling paperwork, and maintaining a safe, organized environment. This position offers a stable schedule (Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00) and the opportunity to develop a long‑term career in the transportation and supply‑chain industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist truck drivers with loading and unloading pallets, crates, and bulk items while adhering to safety protocols.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against delivery documents, ensuring accuracy of quantities and product conditions.
- Maintain clear and organized aisles within the warehouse, promptly reporting any hazards or obstructions.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and, when authorized, forklifts.
- Coordinate with the inventory control team to update stock levels in the warehouse management system.
- Prepare and attach shipping labels, barcodes, and necessary documentation for each dispatch.
- Conduct routine inspections of delivery vehicles, confirming that required permits (e.g., SIM A/B1) and safety equipment are present.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering queries from drivers, vendors, and internal staff in a courteous and professional manner.
- Support the implementation of continuous‑improvement initiatives, such as optimizing loading sequences to reduce turnaround time.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, including waste disposal and basic housekeeping tasks.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Open to all genders; however, the role currently requires a male candidate due to specific operational needs.
- Age: maximum 35 years (interpreted from “pria usia maksimal”).
- Physical fitness: strong, able to lift heavy loads (up to 30 kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Valid Indonesian driving license (SIM A). A SIM B1 is preferred for future driver‑career pathways.
- Clean criminal record (SKCK) issued by the police.
- In‑depth knowledge of the East Java–Bali region, including major highways and delivery routes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on clear spoken Bahasa Indonesia.
- High work ethic, honesty, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to provide references from previous employment.
- Basic computer literacy for entering data into the warehouse management system.
