Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be an essential part of our kitchen crew, handling a variety of tasks that ensure smooth daily operations and delightful guest experiences. Typical duties include:
- Preparing and cooking menu items such as nasi goreng, tumis kangkung, and fried chicken according to standardized recipes.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work station, adhering to food safety regulations and HACCP guidelines.
- Assisting with inventory checks, receiving deliveries, and proper storage of perishable goods.
- Coordinating with the head chef and fellow cooks to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitoring portion control and minimizing waste while preserving flavor quality.
- Participating in daily briefings to discuss menu changes, special orders, and any operational challenges.
- Providing mentorship to junior kitchen staff and contributing ideas for menu innovation.
- Ensuring all cooking equipment is cleaned, maintained, and reported for any repairs.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications and possess the soft skills necessary for a fast‑paced kitchen environment:
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: 18–30 years.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Experience: No prior professional cooking experience required, but a genuine interest in culinary arts is essential.
- Core Skills:
- Basic cooking techniques, especially the ability to prepare nasi goreng, tumis kangkung, and fried chicken.
- Strong teamwork orientation and the ability to follow instructions from senior chefs.
- Attention to detail, especially regarding cleanliness and food hygiene.
- Reliability and willingness to work 2–3 days per week, including weekends and during Ramadan.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude under pressure.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle kitchen equipment safely.
