Introduction
The Kepala Departemen Kesantrian (Head of the Discipline Department) is a senior leadership role responsible for guiding the educational, spiritual, and operational excellence of our institution. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the department head will shape curriculum, mentor faculty, and ensure that all activities align with our core values of Islamic integrity, professional rigor, and community service. This position offers a dynamic work environment with a full‑time schedule from Monday to Saturday, 08:00–17:00.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the department’s curriculum and teaching methodologies, ensuring they meet both national standards and the institution’s Salafist educational philosophy.
- Lead a team of teachers, administrators, and support staff by providing clear direction, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Coordinate with other department heads to integrate interdisciplinary projects that reinforce moral character, critical thinking, and community engagement.
- Monitor student progress through assessments, counseling sessions, and extracurricular activities, intervening when necessary to support academic and personal growth.
- Maintain a smoke‑free, respectful, and inclusive work environment that reflects Islamic values while embracing diversity of gender and background.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on departmental achievements, challenges, and resource needs.
- Organize and oversee training workshops, seminars, and guest lectures that enrich both staff and student experiences.
- Manage the department’s budget, allocate resources efficiently, and seek additional funding or partnerships to expand program offerings.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant educational regulations, accreditation requirements, and health‑safety standards.
- Foster strong relationships with parents, community leaders, and external organizations to promote the department’s mission and reputation.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Education, Islamic Studies, or a closely related field; a high school diploma (SMA/K) is acceptable for non‑teaching support roles.
- Demonstrated commitment to the Salafist methodology (Bermanhaj Salaf) and an exemplary personal conduct that aligns with Islamic teachings.
- Non‑smoker; lifestyle choices must reflect the health‑conscious and ethical standards of the institution.
- Strong communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
- Leadership experience, preferably in an educational setting, with a track record of managing teams and driving results.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekend events, while adhering to the standard work schedule of 08:00–17:00, Monday through Saturday.
