Introduction
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated students to join our luxury resort as a Staff Housekeeping Intern. This internship offers a hands‑on experience in hotel and resort cleanliness management, providing a solid foundation for a career in the hospitality industry. Responsibilities
- Assist in daily cleaning and sanitation of guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house facilities according to the resort’s high standards.
- Support the inventory management of linen, guest amenities, and cleaning supplies, ensuring proper stock levels and timely replenishment.
- Collaborate with the housekeeping supervisor to prioritize tasks, respond to guest requests, and address any special cleaning requirements.
- Follow established safety and hygiene protocols, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and chemical handling procedures.
- Participate in routine deep‑cleaning projects such as carpet shampooing, window washing, and seasonal décor setup.
- Maintain accurate records of room status, cleaning logs, and maintenance issues using the resort’s property management system.
- Contribute ideas for process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and elevate guest satisfaction.
- Demonstrate a proactive attitude by identifying potential hazards and reporting them to the appropriate department.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a college or vocational program (minimum D3/D4) majoring in Hospitality, Tourism, Accounting, Engineering, Sports, or a related field.
- Must be undertaking a mandatory internship program as required by your educational institution.
- Strong passion for the hospitality sector and a genuine desire to learn the intricacies of resort operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact courteously with guests and team members.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Well‑groomed appearance, disciplined work ethic, and professional demeanor at all times.
- Flexibility to adhere to the internship period and schedule set by the institution and the resort.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, lift moderate loads, and stand for extended periods.
