Introduction
BA Consultant is seeking a dynamic and detail‑oriented Konsultan Hukum Korporat dan Litigasi to join our legal team in Jakarta, with the possibility of placement at our other regional offices. This role is pivotal in delivering high‑quality legal analysis, strategic advice, and education to both corporate and individual clients across a broad spectrum of corporate and litigation matters. The successful candidate will act as a trusted legal advisor, helping clients navigate complex regulatory environments, mitigate risk, and resolve disputes efficiently—whether in courtrooms or through alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research and produce well‑structured memoranda on corporate governance, contractual obligations, and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze client‑provided case files, identify key legal issues, and develop actionable strategies for both litigation and non‑litigation resolutions.
- Deliver clear, concise legal opinions and recommendations to senior management and client representatives.
- Provide on‑site and remote legal education sessions, workshops, and seminars to improve clients’ understanding of their rights and obligations.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, shareholder agreements, and other corporate documents.
- Coordinate with external counsel, government agencies, and industry experts to ensure comprehensive case handling.
- Maintain accurate case files, track deadlines, and manage a personal docket using the firm’s case‑management system.
- Participate in client intake meetings, taking detailed notes and outlining next steps for legal action or advisory services.
- Support senior consultants in preparing litigation briefs, pleadings, and evidentiary documents.
- Stay current on evolving laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide proactive, forward‑looking counsel.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Law from an accredited university.
- Maximum age of 30 years, though exceptional candidates may be considered.
- Possession of a valid motorbike license (SIM C) and personal two‑wheel vehicle for local travel.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to dissect complex legal issues and propose practical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and, preferably, English.
- Demonstrated pro‑activeness, solution‑oriented attitude, and superior time‑management capabilities.
- Willingness to work full‑time at the Jakarta office or other BA Consultant branches as required.
- Open to candidates with zero years of experience; recent graduates with internships or clerkships are encouraged to apply.
