Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic Koordinator HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, Environment) to lead the safety culture of our cutting‑edge geothermal project in Sumatera Selatan (SUMSEL). The successful candidate will be a male professional with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline, a solid seven‑year track record in HSSE management, and a passion for fostering a zero‑incident workplace. This role reports directly to the Project Director and works closely with operations, engineering, and procurement teams to embed HSSE best practices across the entire project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the project’s HSSE Management System, ensuring compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Lead risk identification workshops, conduct detailed hazard analyses, and produce Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all critical activities.
- Coordinate the creation and monitoring of HSE plans, set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and produce regular performance dashboards for senior management.
- Provide hands‑on leadership during field operations, performing safety inspections, incident investigations, and corrective‑action follow‑ups.
- Facilitate HSSE training programs, including onboarding, refresher courses, and specialized drills for emergency response, confined space entry, and permit‑to‑work systems.
- Serve as the primary liaison with government agencies, auditors, and third‑party consultants during inspections and certifications.
- Promote a proactive safety culture by recognizing and rewarding safe behaviors, and by encouraging open communication of near‑misses and hazards.
- Maintain up‑to‑date competency certificates, such as K3 Umum or Migas, and ensure all team members possess required qualifications.
- Support environmental stewardship by monitoring emissions, waste management, and resource conservation initiatives specific to geothermal operations.
- Prepare comprehensive HSSE reports, including incident trends, root‑cause analyses, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Male candidate, physically and mentally fit; must have completed COVID‑19 booster vaccination.
- Minimum S1 degree in Engineering (any discipline) from an accredited university.
- At least 7 years of progressive experience in HSSE coordination or management, preferably within the energy or mining sectors.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of building high‑performing safety teams.
- Deep knowledge of HSSE regulations, standards (ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001), and industry best practices.
- Proven capability to conduct risk assessments, develop JSA & SOP, and implement HSE plans and KPIs.
- Possession of a valid competency certificate – minimum K3 Umum or Migas certification.
- Valid Indonesian driver’s license (SIM A) is a strong advantage.
- Must not be under active employment with another company or government agency.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and basic proficiency in English.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving orientation, and a proactive, “hands‑on” attitude.
