Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Person to join our dynamic team at the Samarinda site of Mie Gacoan. This full‑time position is based at either the A Yani or Wahid Hasyim location and offers the opportunity to work in a fast‑paced restaurant environment that values reliability, innovation, and teamwork. The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on problem‑solver with a solid foundation in electrical, mechanical, and civil maintenance, ready to keep our kitchen and facility equipment running smoothly day after day.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance on all restaurant equipment, including noodle machines, deep fryers, stoves, cup sealers, refrigeration units, and ventilation systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve basic electrical and plumbing issues that affect daily restaurant operations, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Replace defective components, calibrate machines, and conduct functional tests to verify equipment performance.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs that capture completed tasks, identified problems, corrective actions taken, and any parts used.
  • Uphold a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety standards and local occupational health regulations.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff, supervisors, and external vendors to schedule major repairs or upgrades with minimal disruption to service.
  • Assist in inventory management of spare parts and consumables, notifying management when stock levels fall below critical thresholds.
  • Participate in regular safety briefings, fire‑drill exercises, and equipment inspections to reinforce a culture of safety.
  • Provide on‑the‑spot training and guidance to junior maintenance assistants or newly hired staff members.
  • Support any ad‑hoc projects such as facility renovations, energy‑saving initiatives, or equipment upgrades as directed by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; technical diploma (SMK/STM) in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Air‑Conditioning (Tata Udara) preferred.
  • 1‑2 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or similar fast‑service environment.
  • Proficiency in basic electrical wiring, circuit troubleshooting, PLC basics, and mechanical repair of kitchen appliances.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, to support 24‑hour restaurant operations.
  • Strong soft skills: honesty, discipline, responsibility, loyalty, creativity, hard‑working attitude, active participation, innovation, and high dedication.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating effective communication with supervisors and peers.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces safely.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are advantageous for rapid response to equipment failures.
  • Male candidates only, as specified by local labor regulations for this role.
  • Readiness to be stationed at the Mie Gacoan restaurant in Samarinda (A Yani or Wahid Hasyim).
