Introduction

Amartha, a leading micro‑finance institution in Indonesia, is seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Manajer Bisnis Kantor Lapangan to join its Talent Pool. This senior role will be responsible for steering the performance of multiple branch offices within a designated region, ensuring that both operational excellence and strategic growth objectives are met. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strong leadership, deep knowledge of micro‑finance products, and a proven track record of achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) in a fast‑changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all regional branch KPIs are achieved on schedule, monitoring financial, operational, and customer‑service metrics.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day branch operations, including staffing, resource allocation, and compliance with internal policies.
  • Lead the expansion of Amartha’s service area by identifying high‑potential locations, negotiating site agreements, and launching new branches.
  • Maintain portfolio quality by enforcing rigorous credit‑risk standards and ensuring audit results meet management expectations.
  • Promote a culture of transparency and open communication within each branch, fostering trust among staff and borrowers.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 5‑10 staff members, providing coaching, performance feedback, and career development opportunities.
  • Develop and execute integrated Sales & Marketing strategies, coordinating cross‑functional teams to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Prepare regular reports for regional leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and actionable insights.
  • Travel throughout the assigned region to conduct site visits, client meetings, and community outreach activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: Diploma III (D3) or higher; a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a micro‑finance business manager or leadership role (experience with Grameen‑style institutions is a strong plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow a branch network, including responsibility for staff performance and operational efficiency.
  • Proven leadership experience overseeing teams of 5‑10 members, with strong coaching and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Excellent analytical abilities to assess portfolio health, interpret audit findings, and implement corrective actions.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills; capable of leading discussions, adapting quickly to market changes, and managing sales administration.
  • Own a valid driver’s license (SIM C) and personal vehicle for regional travel.
  • Willingness to be stationed anywhere in Indonesia where Amartha operates.
  • Availability to work Monday‑Friday, 07:00‑20:00, with occasional overtime during peak periods.
