We are expanding our footprint in the West Papua region and are seeking a dynamic Area Sales Manager – Manokwari to lead our sales team, grow market share, and strengthen relationships with retailers and end‑users.
Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and revenue goals within the Manokwari territory.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports on orders, stock levels, promotional activities, and field visit outcomes.
- Conduct thorough market analysis and area mapping to identify high‑potential new outlets (NOO) and untapped customer segments.
- Plan and execute regular, scheduled visits to existing and prospective retailers, ensuring strong product knowledge transfer and brand representation.
- Increase the number of active outlets (OA) by nurturing relationships, offering tailored solutions, and monitoring performance against set benchmarks.
- Maintain long‑term, trust‑based relationships with key customers, providing after‑sales support and addressing any issues promptly.
- Oversee implementation of sales strategies, monitor accounts receivable (AR), and ensure collection processes align with corporate policies.
- Develop a detailed area work plan, set clear KPIs, and report progress to the Supervisor or National Sales Manager.
- Utilise digital sales tools and CRM systems to capture data, forecast demand, and drive data‑driven decision making.
- Collaborate with marketing, logistics, and product development teams to launch promotions, manage inventory, and ensure product availability.
- Coach and mentor junior sales representatives, fostering a high‑performance culture and continuous learning.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; preference for graduates in Marketing, Business Management, or Communication.
- At least 2 years of proven sales experience in building‑materials, FMCG, or a related high‑volume industry.
- Age 35 years or younger, with residence in Manokwari or surrounding areas.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned territory, including occasional weekend visits.
- Strong proficiency in digital sales platforms, data entry, and basic analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet aggressive targets, and manage a pipeline of new and existing accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Self‑motivated, resilient, and capable of independent decision‑making while aligning with corporate guidelines.
- Possession of a personal vehicle is mandatory for field activities.
