Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic Merchandiser – Beauty Products to join our fast‑growing sales team covering the Tangerang area. This role is critical for ensuring our skincare, makeup, and hair‑care brands are presented flawlessly across modern trade and general trade outlets. The successful candidate will act as the brand’s eyes and ears on the shop floor, guaranteeing that every display meets the highest visual standards, that shelves are fully stocked, and that our promotional strategies translate into measurable sales growth.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily visits to assigned modern trade and general trade stores in Tangerang and surrounding Banten locations.
- Implement brand‑specific planograms, ensuring product placement, signage, and promotional materials comply with corporate visual standards.
- Maintain clean, organized shelves and ensure product availability, conducting regular stock checks to prevent out‑of‑stock (OOS) situations.
- Strategically arrange products to maximize shelf impact, using cross‑merchandising techniques that drive impulse purchases.
- Coordinate with store managers and category managers to resolve display issues, request replenishment, and negotiate prime shelf space.
- Monitor competitor activities, documenting pricing changes, new product launches, and promotional tactics for internal analysis.
- Prepare detailed visit reports, including photos, stock levels, planogram compliance scores, and actionable insights for the regional sales team.
- Provide on‑site training to store staff on product features, benefits, and correct merchandising practices.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to schedule deliveries that align with promotional calendars and avoid inventory gaps.
- Participate in periodic audits and special projects such as new product roll‑outs, seasonal campaigns, and brand activation events.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (Associate or Bachelor degree) – a background in Business, Marketing, or related fields is preferred.
- At least 1 year of proven experience as a merchandiser in the beauty industry (skincare, makeup, or hair‑care).
- Strong knowledge of planogram creation, shelf layout, and visual merchandising principles.
- Ability to work independently in a mobile, field‑based environment with a flexible schedule (Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable liaising with store personnel, distributors, and internal stakeholders.
- Highly disciplined, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple store visits efficiently.
- Residency in Tangerang or Banten; ownership of a personal vehicle is a strong plus.
- Proficiency with basic office software (Microsoft Excel, Word) for reporting and data entry.
- Soft skills: problem‑solving, time‑management, customer‑service mindset, and a proactive attitude toward achieving sales targets.
