Introduction

The Petugas Instalasi Pemeliharaan Sarana Rumah Sakit (IPSRS) is a critical technical role within a modern healthcare facility. This position ensures that all electrical, mechanical, and civil infrastructure systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with national health regulations. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team that supports the hospital’s mission of delivering high‑quality patient care through reliable and well‑maintained physical assets. Working Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, the IPSRS specialist will be on‑site to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot emergencies, and coordinate with external vendors to keep the hospital’s environment safe for patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical distribution panels, backup generators, and lighting systems throughout the facility.
  • Perform HVAC (air‑conditioning) servicing, filter replacements, and system calibrations to maintain optimal indoor air quality and temperature control in patient wards, operating rooms, and critical care areas.
  • Execute plumbing repairs, water‑line pressure testing, and drainage system checks to prevent leaks and ensure uninterrupted water supply.
  • Inspect and reinforce building structures, including ceilings, walls, and floor supports, in collaboration with civil engineers to meet safety standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve emergency breakdowns promptly, coordinating with the hospital’s safety officer and documenting all actions in the maintenance management system.
  • Develop and update maintenance schedules, checklists, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in line with ISO 9001 and local health authority guidelines.
  • Train junior technicians and support staff on proper handling of equipment, safety protocols, and energy‑saving practices.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables, ensuring critical components are stocked to reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with external contractors for major renovations, providing technical specifications and supervising work quality.
  • Prepare detailed reports on work performed, cost analysis, and recommendations for system upgrades or capital investments.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in hospital or large‑scale facility maintenance, covering electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and structural systems.
  • Strong knowledge of national electrical codes, building standards, and hospital safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software (CMMS) and basic computer skills for reporting.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive mindset toward preventive maintenance.
  • Effective communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and basic English, enabling clear interaction with multidisciplinary teams and external vendors.
  • Physical stamina to perform inspections in confined spaces, on rooftops, and at heights when required.
