Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Merchandiser Sales (SMD) to join our fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) distribution team. In this role, you will be the front‑line representative of our product portfolio, building strong relationships with modern trade (MT) outlets, driving sales growth, and ensuring optimal shelf presence for our brands. The ideal candidate is a proactive self‑starter with at least one year of relevant sales experience, a solid understanding of the MT environment, and a passion for exceeding targets.
Responsibilities
- Present and promote our product range to MT outlet owners and managers, articulating key value propositions and competitive advantages.
- Generate and process purchase orders (POs) efficiently, ensuring accurate documentation and timely delivery.
- Execute merchandising activities, including shelf placement, planogram compliance, promotional set‑ups, and stock rotation.
- Achieve and surpass monthly and quarterly sales targets through strategic account planning and effective upselling.
- Prepare detailed sales reports, market intelligence, and outlet feedback for the regional sales manager.
- Conduct regular outlet visits to monitor inventory levels, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with marketing and supply‑chain teams to coordinate promotional campaigns and new product launches.
- Provide training and guidance to outlet staff on product features, merchandising standards, and sales techniques.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold company branding during all customer interactions.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- All genders accepted; age limit up to 35 years.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Sales Representative or Merchandiser in the FMCG sector, preferably handling modern trade accounts.
- Valid motorbike and SIM C required for daily field visits.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Result‑oriented mindset with proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate PO processing and reporting.
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with CRM tools.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
- Ready to join immediately and commit to a Monday‑Saturday schedule (08:00‑17:00).
