Introduction
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Purchasing & Accounting Specialist to join our fast‑growing finance and procurement team. This full‑time position offers a dynamic work environment where you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient purchase processes, and strong supplier relationships. The role is based in our Jakarta office, operating Monday through Friday from 08:00 to 17:00.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive bookkeeping records, ensuring all transactions are accurately captured in accordance with Indonesian GAAP.
- Generate periodic financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports for internal management review.
- Enter journal entries into the company’s ERP system, performing regular reconciliations to guarantee data integrity.
- Develop and manage the purchase requisition list for goods and services, coordinating closely with department heads to verify demand.
- Contact suppliers and vendors to request quotations, negotiate pricing, arrange service schedules, and monitor delivery timelines.
- Draft, issue, and track purchase orders, ensuring compliance with internal controls and procurement policies.
- Assist the tax team with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings, including VAT and corporate income tax.
- Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, preparing schedules and documentation required for audits.
- Analyze procurement spend data to identify cost‑saving opportunities and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile accounts payable, monitor aging reports, and ensure timely payments.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Economics, Accounting, or Management.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in general accounting and procurement functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data visualization.
- Hands‑on experience with accounting software or ERP systems for journal entry posting.
- Strong understanding of purchase order creation, supplier negotiation, and contract management.
- Knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and cash‑flow management.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; English proficiency is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
