Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Katalon Studio to cover functional, regression, and performance scenarios.
- Translate business requirements and user journeys into comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and reusable test data sets.
- Execute automated regression suites for each release cycle and ensure rapid feedback to development teams.
- Implement API automation testing for backend financial services, including authentication, transaction processing, and data integrity checks.
- Analyze test execution results, diagnose failures, and produce clear, actionable bug reports in the defect tracking system.
- Collaborate closely with QA Manual testers, developers, product owners, and business analysts to verify feature completeness and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective meetings to advocate for quality‑first practices.
- Continuously refine the automation framework, integrate new tools, and adopt best practices such as page‑object models and data‑driven testing.
- Mentor junior QA team members on automation strategies and foster a culture of knowledge sharing.
- Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends, especially those related to fintech security standards and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience as a QA Automation Engineer or Automation Tester, preferably in the financial sector.
- Proficiency with Katalon Studio and a solid understanding of test automation frameworks.
- Experience creating and maintaining API test suites using RESTful services, JSON, and XML.
- Strong SQL skills for validating data consistency across databases.
- Excellent analytical abilities to interpret test results, identify root causes, and prioritize defects.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, for clear documentation and stakeholder interaction.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in agile, cross‑functional teams.
- Adaptability to fast‑changing requirements and a keen eye for detail.
