Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and innovative Research and Development (R&D) specialist to join our Food & Beverage (F&B) division. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving product innovation, enhancing existing offerings, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive gaps in the F&B sector.
- Design, develop, and prototype new food and beverage products from concept through pilot scale.
- Perform systematic product improvement projects, focusing on taste, texture, shelf‑life, and cost efficiency.
- Implement and oversee rigorous quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with local and international food safety standards.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply‑chain teams to evaluate raw‑material specifications, availability, and cost implications.
- Maintain detailed documentation of experiments, formulations, and test results in a centralized data management system.
- Lead cross‑functional project teams, coordinating efforts between culinary, engineering, marketing, and regulatory departments.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting project progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Stay current with advances in food science, processing technologies, and regulatory changes, applying insights to drive continuous innovation.
- Support the training of production staff on new product specifications and quality assurance protocols.
Requirements
- Male candidates, maximum age 35 years.
- Minimum D3/D4 education; a degree in Culinary Arts, Food Technology, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in food product development, quality control, or a similar R&D role.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct scientific research, perform data analysis, and translate findings into viable product concepts.
- Strong creativity and innovation mindset, with a proven track record of bringing new food concepts to market.
- Deep understanding of raw‑material properties, ingredient functionality, and formulation techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with internal teams and external partners.
- Proficient in teamwork, time management, and task prioritization, ensuring projects meet deadlines and budget constraints.
- Technical skills: cooking, food analysis, inventory reporting, product development, and production efficiency analysis.
- Willingness to work Monday‑Friday, 08:00‑17:00, in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
