Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Representative to join our expanding team in Sekayu, Musi Banyuasin. This role focuses on promoting and selling our premium tobacco products to retail outlets and convenience stores throughout the region. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a proven track record in direct sales, and the drive to exceed monthly targets while representing the company’s brand with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Visit assigned retail and mini‑mart outlets daily to showcase product features, negotiate pricing, and secure orders.
- Implement and adapt the company’s sales strategy to local market conditions, ensuring alignment with quarterly sales objectives.
- Maintain a well‑organized route plan, optimizing travel time and fuel efficiency while covering all designated territories.
- Prepare and submit accurate daily sales reports, including order quantities, stock levels, and customer feedback.
- Collect cash deposits, process payments, and ensure timely reconciliation of sales receipts.
- Identify new business opportunities, such as emerging retail locations or promotional events, and present actionable proposals to management.
- Provide after‑sales support, addressing retailer inquiries, handling product returns, and facilitating promotional material distribution.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute in‑store promotions, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends, offering insights that help refine pricing and merchandising tactics.
- Uphold company policies regarding responsible tobacco marketing and ensure compliance with local regulations.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: 18‑35 years old.
- Gender: Male (as stipulated by the client’s operational policy).
- Experience: At least 1 year of proven experience in field sales, preferably in tobacco, FMCG, or canvas‑based selling.
- Valid motorcycle with an active SIM C license for efficient route coverage.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with a customer‑focused mindset.
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written, in Bahasa Indonesia.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle a demanding travel schedule (Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00).
- Basic proficiency with mobile reporting tools or sales apps for daily data entry.
