Introduction
SPX Express, a leading regional logistics provider, is seeking an energetic and detail‑oriented Shift Lead for its operations hub in Wanea, Manado, Sulawesi Utara. This role is pivotal in ensuring that daily parcel pickup and delivery activities run smoothly, on schedule, and in compliance with company standards. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team, manage shift activities, and act as the primary point of contact between couriers, warehouse staff, and third‑party logistics (3PL) partners.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain daily schedules for courier pickups, ensuring optimal routing and timely service.
- Supervise the end‑to‑end shipping and receiving processes, from goods intake to final delivery.
- Define and allocate delivery zones, balancing workload across couriers and minimizing travel time.
- Monitor inbound and outbound inventory movements, coordinating closely with 3PL providers to avoid bottlenecks.
- Oversee sorting operations, guaranteeing that parcels are accurately categorized for efficient distribution.
- Conduct shift handovers, documenting key performance metrics, incidents, and any deviations from SOPs.
- Provide on‑site leadership, coaching team members on FIFO (First‑In‑First‑Out) methods, safety protocols, and effective communication.
- Analyze logistical costs and propose process improvements to enhance cost efficiency and service quality.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies regarding handling, storage, and transportation of goods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, performing regular inspections and addressing hazards promptly.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- 1–2 years of proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of warehousing operations, parcel sorting, and delivery workflows.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including early mornings and occasional weekends.
- Residence in or willingness to relocate to Wanea, Manado, Sulawesi Utara.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Bahasa Indonesia (English is a plus).
- Leadership aptitude with the ability to motivate and manage a small team of couriers and warehouse staff.
- Proficiency with logistics software, basic MS Office, and familiarity with FIFO inventory techniques.
- Analytical mindset for cost analysis, route optimization, and performance tracking.
