Introduction
BNI Life, the leading life‑insurance arm of Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), is seeking dynamic and motivated individuals to join our Bankassurance Specialist (BAS) team in Samarinda and surrounding areas. As a BAS you will act as the face of BNI Life inside BNI bank branches, promoting and selling our individual bancassurance solutions to retail customers. This role offers a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment where your sales talent, communication skills, and passion for financial services will directly contribute to the growth of BNI’s insurance portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a detailed sales plan for life‑insurance products within the assigned BNI branch, aligning targets with regional and national goals.
- Conduct daily prospecting, lead qualification, and face‑to‑face meetings with existing and potential bank customers.
- Deliver compelling product presentations and tailored financial solutions, demonstrating deep knowledge of BNI Life’s policy features, benefits, and underwriting criteria.
- Negotiate terms, handle objections, and close sales while ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards (AAJI, OJK).
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and customer interactions in the CRM system.
- Collaborate closely with branch managers, tellers, and relationship managers to identify cross‑selling opportunities and streamline the referral process.
- Provide post‑sale support, including policy documentation, claim assistance, and periodic policy reviews to enhance customer retention.
- Participate in regular training sessions, product workshops, and certification programs offered by BNI Life to stay current on market trends and new offerings.
- Represent BNI Life at community events, financial seminars, and branch open‑house activities to build brand awareness.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; a diploma (D3) or bachelor’s degree (S1) in any field is also acceptable.
- Age between 20 and 35 years.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in sales or marketing, preferably within the financial services or insurance sector. Candidates with 2 years of experience in financial‑services marketing are strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a polished and professional appearance.
- Strong interest in sales, self‑driven attitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Not currently listed as an active member of AAJI (Asosiasi Asuransi Jiwa Indonesia).
- Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia; English language skills are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for client visits.
