Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Professional Kitchen Staff to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our kitchen operates with precision, efficiency, and the highest standards of food quality. As a senior member, you will mentor junior cooks, coordinate with front‑of‑house staff, and help shape the menu offerings that delight our guests. Responsibilities

  • Prepare, season, and cook a wide variety of dishes in accordance with standardized recipes and quality guidelines.
  • Supervise daily kitchen operations, including the coordination of two shifts to maintain uninterrupted service from Monday to Saturday.
  • Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and communicate ordering needs to the procurement team.
  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and kitchen hygiene protocols.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate junior kitchen personnel, fostering a collaborative and growth‑oriented work culture.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment, troubleshoot minor malfunctions, and liaise with maintenance for larger repairs.
  • Collaborate with the head chef to develop new menu items, suggest improvements, and adapt dishes based on seasonal ingredients.
  • Monitor cooking times, portion control, and plating presentation to guarantee consistency across all service periods.
  • Assist in scheduling, ensuring adequate staffing levels for both morning and evening shifts.
  • Participate in regular performance reviews and contribute ideas for operational efficiency and cost reduction.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of practical experience in a professional kitchen environment; experience in a senior or lead role is preferred.
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Strong personal attributes: courteous, honest, disciplined, and reliable.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a proven ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Clear communication, strong focus, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Good physical health and mental resilience to handle the demands of a busy kitchen.
  • Willingness to work two shifts and adapt to a schedule that includes early mornings and late evenings.
