Introduction
We are seeking a diligent and customer‑focused Staff Teller and Member Services professional to join BMT Beringharjo, a leading Islamic micro‑finance institution serving the Kediri region. This role is integral to our commitment to provide ethical, Sharia‑compliant financial services to our members. The successful candidate will operate the teller window, process transactions accurately, and act as a trusted advisor for product information, while upholding the principles of Islamic economics.
Responsibilities
- Handle daily cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and bill payments, ensuring strict adherence to internal controls and Sharia guidelines.
- Maintain accurate member account records, reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift, and prepare routine transaction reports for management.
- Provide courteous, timely assistance to members, answering inquiries about account balances, loan status, and product features.
- Promote BMT Beringharjo’s portfolio of Islamic financial products—such as mudharabah savings, murabaha financing, and qard al‑hasan loans—and guide members toward solutions that meet their needs.
- Conduct basic KYC (Know Your Customer) verification, ensuring all documentation complies with regulatory and internal compliance standards.
- Assist with administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and preparation of monthly performance dashboards.
- Participate in community outreach initiatives and financial literacy workshops to strengthen member relationships and expand BMT’s presence.
- Continuously improve personal knowledge of Islamic banking principles through in‑house training and industry seminars.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (all study fields) with a strong interest in Islamic economics.
- Age limit: 27 years or younger at the time of application.
- Both male (Muslim) and female (Muslimah) candidates are welcome, reflecting BMT’s inclusive hiring policy.
- Residency in Kediri or surrounding areas to ensure reliable attendance and community familiarity.
- Excellent verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a commitment to confidentiality.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (MS Office, banking software) and a willingness to learn new digital tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork orientation, and a proactive attitude toward problem‑solving.
- Prior experience in banking, retail, or customer service is advantageous but not mandatory.
