Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Professional Motorcycle Mechanic to join our dynamic service team in Padang. Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, brake adjustments, and tire inspections on motorcycles and small motorized vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using both manual inspection techniques and computer‑aided diagnostic tools.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble engine components, transmission systems, suspension parts, and electrical wiring according to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate service records by entering data into the workshop management system, documenting parts used, labor hours, and customer notes.
- Provide clear explanations of repair recommendations and cost estimates to customers, ensuring transparency and building trust.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials, use of personal protective equipment, and compliance with local environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with fellow technicians and service advisors to prioritize workload, manage parts inventory, and meet daily production targets.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, tools, and industry best practices through continuous learning and on‑the‑job training.
- Assist in training junior mechanics and apprentices, sharing knowledge of diagnostic techniques and efficient repair methods.
- Ensure the workshop is kept clean, organized, and ready for the next service cycle, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum age: 18 – 30 years.
- Education: At least a High School diploma (SMA/SMK) with a preference for a D3/D4 qualification in Automotive Engineering or a related field.
- Gender: Female candidates only, as specified by the client’s diversity policy.
- Work experience: Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in motorcycle or small vehicle maintenance.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in using workshop computers, data entry for service logs, and familiarity with diagnostic software.
- Residency: Must reside in Padang or be willing to relocate promptly.
- Soft skills: Strong problem‑solving abilities, excellent communication, attention to detail, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
