Introduction
The Staff Quality Control – Power Plant position is a critical role within our electrical manufacturing division, reporting directly to the Quality Control Power Supervisor. The incumbent will be entrusted with safeguarding the integrity of all electrical switchboards and related components produced at the plant. By conducting thorough inspections, monitoring production workflows, and executing final testing procedures, the staff member ensures that every product meets stringent company standards, complies with national and international regulations, and delivers reliable performance to our customers. Responsibilities
- Quality Inspection & Testing: Perform incoming material inspections, in‑process checks, and final product testing using calibrated tools and equipment to verify compliance with ISO 9001, IEC, and internal quality specifications.
- Data Collection & Documentation: Record measurement results, non‑conformities, and corrective actions in the quality management system, providing accurate data for performance analysis and reporting.
- Process Improvement: Analyze trends from inspection data and suggest adjustments to manufacturing processes to enhance product reliability and reduce waste.
- Team Coordination: Communicate quality objectives and supervisor strategies to production crews, ensuring optimal use of resources and alignment with project timelines.
- Budget Monitoring: Compile equipment usage, training, and operational activity reports to track monthly and annual budget consumption.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Promote a culture of safety by enforcing HSE procedures, conducting regular safety audits, and participating in incident investigations.
- Reporting: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports, highlighting key performance indicators, audit findings, and improvement initiatives.
- Implementation of “The Legrand Way”: Apply company‑wide best‑practice standards, including lean manufacturing principles and environmental stewardship, to everyday activities.
- Training & Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior staff and assist in the development of training modules related to quality control and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s Degree (D4) in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in quality control, preferably within a power‑generation or electrical equipment manufacturing environment.
- Strong familiarity with electrical components, wiring diagrams, and switchboard assembly processes.
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, IEC 60204, or equivalent regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English; ability to write clear technical reports.
- Proficiency with inspection tools (multimeters, insulation testers, thermal imagers) and basic testing equipment.
- Competence in MS Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) for data analysis and presentation.
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines while maintaining a collaborative team spirit.
