Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Guru Playgroup to join our early childhood education team in Pekanbaru. This role is pivotal in shaping the foundational years of young learners, fostering a nurturing environment where curiosity, faith, and social skills can flourish. As a playgroup teacher, you will engage children aged 2‑5 in activities that blend Islamic values with modern pedagogical approaches, preparing them for a smooth transition to formal schooling.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement age‑appropriate play‑based curricula that incorporate basic literacy, numeracy, and moral teachings.
- Facilitate daily interactive sessions, including storytelling, music, arts and crafts, and outdoor play, ensuring each activity aligns with developmental milestones.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and inclusive classroom environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Observe and assess each child’s progress, documenting observations and communicating insights to parents and senior educators.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to plan special events, religious celebrations, and community outreach programs.
- Participate actively in regular training workshops, professional development courses, and competency assessments.
- Uphold the institution’s values by modeling respectful behavior, patience, and enthusiasm for learning.
- Prepare weekly lesson plans and report on attendance, behavior, and any notable incidents.
- Support families by offering guidance on early childhood development and reinforcing positive parenting practices.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree (S1) is highly preferred.
- Female Muslim candidate who wears a hijab, demonstrating a strong commitment to Islamic principles.
- Ability to read and recite the Qur’an fluently.
- Open to a 2‑year contract with clear career progression pathways.
- Willingness to work full‑day hours (07:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday) and undergo a probationary training period.
- Excellent communication skills, patience, warmth, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with peers and supervisors.
- Flexibility to be placed in the Pekanbaru region and adhere to all organizational policies and regulations.
