Introduction
Mitra Diskon Swalayan Cimanggis is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Program Magang Kasir. This internship offers a unique hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced supermarket environment, allowing you to develop essential retail and cash handling skills while interacting with a diverse customer base. As a cashier intern, you will be the face of the store, providing warm, efficient service and supporting daily operations from 07:00 to 15:00, Monday through Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a friendly attitude and ensure a welcoming checkout experience.
- Accurately process cash, card, and electronic payments while adhering to store policies.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding product pricing, ongoing promotions, and loyalty programs.
- Assist shoppers in locating items and provide information on special discounts and bundled offers.
- Collaborate with fellow floor staff to maintain smooth store flow, especially during peak hours.
- Perform end‑of‑shift cash reconciliation, ensuring all transactions balance and any discrepancies are reported.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including regular checks of barcode scanners, receipt printers, and cash drawers.
- Support inventory control by reporting low‑stock items and assisting with shelf restocking when needed.
- Participate in daily briefings to stay informed about new promotions, safety protocols, and operational updates.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve service quality, suggesting ideas to supervisors for enhancing the customer journey.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: Up to 26 years old.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Experience: No prior work experience required; a strong interest in retail is essential.
- Appearance: Well‑groomed and presentable, adhering to the store’s dress code.
- Mathematical Ability: Basic arithmetic skills and a keen eye for detail when handling cash.
- Communication: Excellent verbal skills and a customer‑centric attitude.
