Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Operator Setrika Profesional to join our fast‑growing garment‑finishing division. As an integral member of the production line, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the ironing (setrika) equipment that gives our clothing items a crisp, professional finish. The role is based in a modern, climate‑controlled facility that serves both domestic and export markets, and it offers a supportive environment where teamwork, reliability and attention to detail are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Operate manual and automated ironing machines, ensuring each garment meets the company’s strict quality standards.
- Inspect fabrics before and after ironing to detect wrinkles, stains, or defects and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Adjust temperature, pressure and steam settings according to fabric type (cotton, polyester, blends, etc.) and production specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, regularly cleaning the ironing boards, steam nozzles and surrounding area to prevent contamination.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, such as lubricating moving parts, replacing worn rollers, and documenting equipment performance.
- Collaborate with cutting, sewing and quality‑control teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of finished garments.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the proper handling of hot equipment and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Record production data, including the number of pieces ironed, downtime, and any material issues, using the company’s digital tracking system.
- Adapt quickly to changing production schedules, handling peak periods or urgent orders without compromising quality.
- Contribute ideas for process improvements, energy savings and waste reduction during regular team briefings.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Open to all genders; however, this particular shift is currently seeking female candidates up to 45 years of age.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong sense of discipline, punctuality and responsibility.
- Proven capability to perform under pressure and meet tight production deadlines.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for recording production data.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle moderate lifting (up to 15 kg) safely.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Prior experience in an ironing or textile‑finishing role is a plus, but not mandatory.
