Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide range of specialty coffee drinks—including espresso, latte art, pour‑over, cold brew, and seasonal creations—according to company standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting work station, ensuring all equipment (espresso machines, grinders, brewers) is calibrated and serviced daily.
- Engage customers with friendly conversation, recommend menu items, and educate them about coffee origins, flavor profiles, and brewing methods.
- Handle cash transactions, process digital payments, and accurately manage the point‑of‑sale (POS) system.
- Collaborate with team members to restock inventory, receive deliveries, and conduct regular stock counts.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation procedures, and emergency protocols.
- Participate in shift rotations, including early morning and late‑evening schedules, to ensure coverage during peak hours.
- Provide training and mentorship to new hires, sharing best practices for drink preparation and customer service.
- Collect and respond to customer feedback, escalating any service issues to management promptly.
- Maintain an attractive personal appearance that reflects the brand’s image and professionalism.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of proven experience as a barista or in a similar food‑service role.
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, bean varieties, and equipment maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers of all backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to work shift schedules, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends (Monday‑Saturday).
- Age limit: maximum 27 years old.
- Must not be currently enrolled in a full‑time academic program.
- Professional, well‑groomed appearance that aligns with the café’s brand standards.
