Responsibilities
- Design, deliver, and continuously improve undergraduate courses in D3 Refraksi Optik, including both theoretical lectures and practical laboratory sessions.
- Develop curricula that align with national accreditation standards (BAN‑PT) and incorporate the latest advancements in optical science and vision care.
- Guide and mentor students on capstone projects, clinical practicum, and research theses, ensuring academic rigor and professional ethics.
- Conduct original research in refractive optics, publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals, and present at national or international conferences.
- Participate actively in the university’s Tri Dharma activities: teaching, research, and community service, such as vision‑screening programs for underserved populations.
- Collaborate with other faculty members, health professionals, and industry partners to develop interdisciplinary programs and joint research initiatives.
- Maintain and upgrade laboratory equipment, ensuring safety compliance and optimal learning environments for students.
- Contribute to academic committees, accreditation processes, and faculty development workshops.
Requirements
- Graduated with a Magister Kesehatan or a Doctor of Ophthalmology (Spesialis Mata).
- Undergraduate background in Public Health, Medicine, or D3/D4 Refraksi Optisi with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (S1) and 3.5 (S2) from a BAN‑PT accredited institution.
- Willingness to relocate and permanently settle in Palembang, Sumatra Selatan.
- No current employment as a civil servant (PNS) or permanent staff of another institution.
- Strong understanding of the Tri Dharma of higher education: teaching, research, and community service.
- Clean legal and professional record – no past criminal issues, employment disputes, or outstanding loan problems.
- Excellent communication skills, both in Bahasa Indonesia and, preferably, English.
- Proficiency in curriculum development, student assessment, and modern teaching technologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary academic environment.
