Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Teknisi Pemeliharaan dan Instalasi Sistem Mekanik to join our growing telecommunications team. This position is ideal for candidates with a solid foundation in information technology or electronics who are eager to work in a dynamic field that combines field installations, network configuration, and hands‑on troubleshooting. The successful applicant will play a critical role in ensuring our fiber optic and wireless infrastructure operates smoothly, supporting both residential and corporate customers across a wide service area.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, alignment, and mounting of fiber optic and wireless antennas, ensuring compliance with safety standards and local regulations.
- Configure network parameters such as IP addressing, subnet masks, DNS servers, and default gateways on routers, switches, and access points.
- Conduct on‑site testing and validation of connectivity, signal strength, and latency to guarantee optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on routers, modems, access points, and related networking equipment, documenting root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed activity reports, including installation logs, fault histories, and recommendations for future upgrades.
- Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to meet tight deployment schedules and achieve project milestones.
- Provide technical support during emergency outages, coordinating with the NOC (Network Operations Center) to restore services promptly.
- Maintain an inventory of tools, spare parts, and safety equipment, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good condition.
- Participate in continuous learning programs to stay current with emerging technologies such as 5G, SD‑WAN, and IoT connectivity solutions.
- Adhere to company safety policies, especially when working at height, and conduct regular safety briefings with team members.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (or SMK) in Information Technology, Electronics, or a related technical field.
- Prior exposure to an ISP environment or a telecommunications company through internships (PKL) or work experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work comfortably in field conditions, including at heights for antenna installations.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to take initiative and resolve issues independently.
- Team player who can thrive under project pressure and meet defined service level agreements (SLAs).
- Not currently bound by any exclusive employment contract with another organization.
- Hands‑on experience with network configuration (IP, Subnet, DNS, Gateway) and troubleshooting of routers, modems, and access points.
- Willingness to work a six‑day week schedule (Monday‑Saturday) from 08:00 to 17:00.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for reaching remote installation sites.
