Introduction
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Teknisi Gedung – Handyman to join our facilities team, supporting our operations in both Semarang and Jakarta. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong technical background, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, on‑site environment. The successful candidate will undergo a comprehensive two‑month training program in Surabaya before being deployed to the field, ensuring they are fully equipped to handle a wide range of building maintenance challenges.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of building structures, electrical systems, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning), and plumbing networks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues such as power outages, water leaks, and climate‑control malfunctions, documenting each incident and the corrective action taken.
- Coordinate with site managers, contractors, and other technical staff to schedule maintenance activities while minimizing disruption to daily operations.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables, and place orders for replacements as needed to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with local building codes, fire‑safety regulations, and company health‑and‑safety policies.
- Prepare detailed reports on completed work, including time spent, materials used, and recommendations for future improvements.
- Participate actively in the two‑month training program in Surabaya, mastering company‑specific procedures, safety protocols, and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
- Provide on‑the‑spot technical guidance to junior staff or external vendors, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable work environment.
- Respond to emergency calls outside regular working hours when critical building systems fail.
- Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and extend the lifespan of building assets.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; graduates of SMK programs in:
- Teknik Konstruksi dan Properti
- Teknik Instalasi Tenaga Listrik
- Teknik Pendingin dan Tata Udara
- Teknik Elektronika
- At least 1 year of proven experience as a building technician or handyman.
- Male candidates only (as specified by the client).
- Strong analytical skills for diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and structural issues.
- Excellent communication abilities to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- High level of precision, agility, and initiative when solving technical problems.
- Willingness to work in dynamic field conditions and adapt to changing priorities.
- Readiness to be placed in either Semarang or Jakarta, with a mandatory 2‑month training period in Surabaya.
- Proficiency in the following skill areas:
- Building maintenance and repair
- Construction material handling
- Operation of construction tools and equipment
- Electrical fault analysis
- Plumbing system upkeep
- Availability to work Monday through Saturday, from 09:00 to 22:00.
