We are seeking a meticulous and motivated Speech Data Entry & Collection Officer to join our rapidly expanding data acquisition team. This role is essential for building high‑quality audio corpora that power next‑generation speech recognition, natural language processing, and AI‑driven voice assistants. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, linguists, and engineers to ensure that every recorded snippet meets our strict standards for clarity, consistency, and usability.
The position operates on a full‑time schedule from Monday to Sunday, 08:00 – 17:00, providing ample opportunity to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously while gaining exposure to cutting‑edge technologies in the speech AI domain.
Responsibilities
- Collect voice data in accordance with detailed scripts or project instructions supplied by the project team.
- Record conversations, read predetermined sentences, or capture spontaneous speech using approved devices such as smartphones or specialized recording applications.
- Monitor and verify audio quality in real time, ensuring recordings are free from background noise, distortion, or technical glitches.
- Upload finalized audio files to the company’s secure data management platform, tagging each file with appropriate metadata for easy retrieval.
- Adhere strictly to data collection guidelines, maintaining consistency across different sessions, speakers, and environments.
- Identify, document, and report any issues encountered during recording or upload processes to the supervisor promptly.
- Coordinate regularly with project managers and supervisors to provide status updates, discuss challenges, and align on upcoming data collection targets.
- Perform routine checks of recording equipment, troubleshoot minor technical problems, and ensure devices are calibrated for optimal performance.
- Maintain organized electronic archives of all raw and processed audio files, following company policies for data security and privacy.
- Participate in periodic quality‑assurance reviews and contribute suggestions for improving collection workflows.
Requirements
