Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Sales & Merchandiser to join our fast‑growing FMCG team in Bali. The ideal candidate will combine strong sales expertise with on‑the‑ground merchandising skills, focusing on frozen food products within the Cikarang region. This role offers the opportunity to influence product placement, build lasting retailer relationships, and drive market share in a highly competitive environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan covering Cikarang and surrounding areas, aligning with overall company targets.
- Identify, visit, and maintain relationships with key retail accounts, supermarkets, convenience stores, and independent outlets.
- Present product features, promotional offers, and pricing strategies to store managers and purchasing agents.
- Conduct regular merchandising audits to ensure proper shelf placement, stock levels, and compliance with brand guidelines.
- Gather market intelligence on competitor activities, pricing trends, and consumer preferences, and relay insights to the sales manager.
- Negotiate contracts, discounts, and promotional deals while protecting margin objectives.
- Coordinate with logistics and supply‑chain teams to guarantee timely product deliveries and resolve any stock‑out issues.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports using Microsoft Office tools, highlighting achievements, challenges, and action plans.
- Participate in trade‑show events, product launches, and in‑store sampling activities to boost brand visibility.
- Work under pressure to meet aggressive sales targets and adapt quickly to changing market conditions.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (or equivalent) in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of proven sales experience in the FMCG sector, preferably with frozen food products.
- Strong knowledge of the Cikarang market and established relationships with local retailers.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to influence and persuade decision‑makers.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- High level of resilience and the capacity to thrive under tight deadlines and high‑pressure situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting and presentation purposes.
- Gender: Open to all candidates; age preference under 35 years (ideally under 30).
- Willingness to be based in Bali with occasional travel to the Cikarang territory.
