We are seeking a dedicated Cook – Food Preparation and Kitchen Operations Specialist to join our vibrant, non‑halal restaurant kitchen team. The successful candidate will work closely with our culinary staff to ensure that every plate meets our standards of taste, presentation, and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, season, and cook a variety of menu items, with a focus on handling B2‑grade meat cuts efficiently and safely.
  • Execute daily mise en place tasks, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients according to recipe specifications.
  • Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring all workstations, equipment, and storage areas are clean and organized.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and communicate ordering needs to the kitchen manager.
  • Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to coordinate timing of dishes, ensuring smooth service during peak hours.
  • Assist in menu development by offering ideas for new dishes, plating concepts, and flavor enhancements.
  • Adhere to the restaurant’s schedule, working from 08:00 to 18:00 and adapting to any shift changes as needed.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on culinary trends, food safety regulations, and kitchen technology.
  • Provide mentorship to junior kitchen assistants, fostering a supportive and learning‑focused environment.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
  • Age: Up to 25 years old.
  • Gender: Female.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of professional kitchen experience, preferably in a non‑halal restaurant setting; 6‑12 months of hands‑on work with B2‑grade meat is highly desirable.
  • Core Skills: Proficient cooking techniques, ability to handle and process meat cuts, strong knife skills, and familiarity with kitchen equipment.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent teamwork, time‑management, attention to detail, adaptability under pressure, and a positive attitude toward continuous learning.
  • Availability: Able to work the full shift from 08:00 to 18:00, with flexibility for occasional overtime during busy periods.
