Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of specialty coffee drinks, including espresso‑based beverages, pour‑overs, cold brews, and latte art creations.
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control according to company standards.
- Engage with customers, provide product recommendations, and answer questions about coffee origins, roasting profiles, and brewing methods.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other barista equipment, ensuring daily cleaning and routine maintenance.
- Monitor inventory levels, receive deliveries, and restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, and ancillary supplies.
- Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, conducting regular checks to keep the work area spotless.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to manage peak‑hour traffic, ensuring smooth service flow under pressure.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current with industry trends, new brewing techniques, and seasonal menu updates.
- Handle cash transactions, process electronic payments, and maintain accurate sales records.
- Contribute ideas for menu innovation, promotional events, and community outreach programs.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of professional barista experience in a high‑volume coffee shop or café.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Honest, reliable, and accountable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Demonstrated capacity to perform well under tight deadlines and high‑stress situations.
