Introduction

PT. Balikpapan Finance Services is seeking a dedicated Staf Penagihan – Collector to join our dynamic collections team in the Balikpapan area. This role is crucial for maintaining healthy cash flow and fostering positive relationships with our valued customers. As a collector, you will be the front‑line representative of our company, conducting face‑to‑face visits, negotiating payment plans, and ensuring that all collection activities are performed in compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is proactive, possesses strong communication skills, and demonstrates a high level of integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct direct visits to assigned customers across Balikpapan to initiate and follow up on debt collection activities.
  • Assess each debtor’s financial situation and propose tailored payment solutions that align with company policy and the customer’s capacity.
  • Prepare and submit detailed daily visit reports, documenting contact outcomes, payment commitments, and any obstacles encountered.
  • Maintain accurate records of collection progress, updating the central database in real time to ensure transparency for management.
  • Adhere strictly to the company’s collection procedures, legal guidelines, and ethical standards, while protecting customer confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with the credit control and legal teams to escalate high‑risk accounts and support dispute resolution when necessary.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay current on the latest collection techniques, regulatory changes, and customer service best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • Maximum age: 35 years.
  • Gender: Male (as specified by current operational requirements).
  • No prior experience required; fresh graduates with strong motivation are welcome.
  • Active communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively.
  • Basic proficiency in using smartphones, GPS navigation, and Microsoft Office or similar reporting tools.
  • High level of personal integrity, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Willingness to work six days a week (Monday‑Saturday) from 08:00 to 17:00, with occasional overtime during peak periods.
