Responsibilities

- Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, and communicate reorder needs to the café manager.
- Handle cash transactions, process electronic payments, and accurately record daily sales reports.
- Provide friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable service to customers, addressing inquiries about menu items and offering personalized recommendations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth peak‑hour operations, often working under time pressure and high foot traffic.
- Assist in training new staff on equipment operation, customer service standards, and safety protocols.
- Participate in occasional promotional events, campus festivals, and special coffee‑tasting sessions organized by the university.
- Continuously develop barista skills by staying informed about emerging coffee trends, brewing techniques, and sustainable sourcing practices.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of proven experience as a barista in a café, restaurant, or similar hospitality setting.
- Strong communication skills; ability to engage with a diverse university community.
- Demonstrated honesty, reliability, and a sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Capacity to perform well under pressure, especially during peak campus hours.
