Introduction

We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Director – Center Operations to join our dynamic leadership team. This pivotal role supports the Center Director in driving growth, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering an outstanding learning experience for our students. The position offers a full‑time schedule from 08:00 to 17:00, with a competitive compensation package and ample opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Growing the Center – Partner with the Center Director to set, monitor, and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) that reflect enrollment growth, revenue targets, and student satisfaction.
  • Marketing Collaboration – Work closely with the Marketing division to design and execute local campaigns, community events, and digital initiatives that strengthen the English1 brand and attract new learners.
  • Sales Leadership – Supervise the sales team, streamline the sales funnel, and implement best‑practice selling techniques to consistently meet or exceed daily and monthly targets.
  • Academic Quality Assurance – Coordinate with the Senior Teaching Manager to optimize classroom schedules, monitor teaching standards, and maintain high levels of student retention and satisfaction.
  • Center Management – Foster seamless collaboration among all departments (administration, finance, HR, teaching, and support) to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that aligns with English1 standards.
  • People Management – Lead the recruitment cycle using L2H procedures, deliver comprehensive onboarding, and provide continuous coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to staff.
  • Financial Oversight – Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and basic financial reporting to support sound fiscal stewardship of the center.
  • Operational Problem‑Solving – Identify process bottlenecks, implement data‑driven solutions, and maintain operational agility in a fast‑paced growth environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree (S1), preferably in Business Management, Education Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of management experience in a high‑growth, customer‑focused environment; experience in language schools or educational services is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to lead multicultural teams and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong sales and marketing background; demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a track record of recruiting, training, and developing high‑performing teams.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with solid problem‑solving abilities and comfort working under pressure.
  • Basic financial management competence, including budgeting and expense control.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM or student management systems.
  • Willingness to be based in either English1 Manado or Kendari, with flexibility to travel between sites as needed.
