Introduction

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Magang Front Office – Program Magang Profesional at a leading hospitality establishment. This internship provides a unique, hands‑on learning environment where you will experience the daily operations of a front‑office team in a dynamic hotel setting. As part of a mandatory internship program required by many colleges and vocational schools, you will gain practical skills that complement your academic studies while building a professional network within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests with a warm, professional demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Assist with check‑in and check‑out procedures, including verification of reservation details and processing payments.
  • Manage incoming telephone calls, respond to guest inquiries, and route calls to appropriate departments.
  • Update and maintain the front‑desk reservation system, ensuring accurate room allocations and availability.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage teams to fulfill guest requests promptly.
  • Prepare and distribute daily reports, such as occupancy logs and revenue summaries, to senior staff.
  • Handle guest complaints or special requests with empathy, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Participate in briefings and training sessions to continuously improve service standards.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized front‑office workspace, adhering to hotel branding guidelines.
  • Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and preparing correspondence.

Requirements

  • Active enrollment in a college or vocational program (minimum D3/D4 level) related to Hospitality, Tourism, Culinary Arts, Accounting, IT, Engineering, or Human Resources.
  • Internship must be a mandatory component of your academic curriculum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with guests from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Professional appearance, disciplined work ethic, and commitment to delivering high‑quality service.
  • Proficiency in English is preferred; basic knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Willingness to adhere to the internship schedule set by the hotel (Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00).
  • Customer‑service orientation and a genuine passion for the hospitality industry.
  • Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with reservation software and Microsoft Office.
