Introduction

The Steward Layanan Kebersihan Hotel is a vital member of our hospitality team, responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the property. In a fast‑paced hotel environment, the steward ensures that guest areas, back‑of‑house facilities, and service stations are spotless, safe, and inviting. Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of lobby, corridors, dining areas, and guest rooms by sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors.
  • Collect, sort, and dispose of waste according to hotel environmental and safety policies.
  • Assist the housekeeping department with linen handling, room turnover, and inventory replenishment.
  • Ensure all public restrooms are stocked with toiletries, paper products, and are sanitized regularly.
  • Monitor and report any maintenance issues, broken equipment, or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
  • Prepare and set up service stations for food and beverage operations, including cleaning trays, utensils, and equipment.
  • Support event and banquet teams by cleaning venues before, during, and after functions.
  • Adhere to hotel standard operating procedures (SOPs) for infection control, especially during high‑traffic periods.
  • Work efficiently under tight schedules, especially during peak check‑in/check‑out times and large gatherings.
  • Collaborate with other departments—front desk, kitchen, maintenance—to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • Age: No upper limit; candidates should be physically capable of performing cleaning duties.
  • Gender: Open to all genders.
  • At least 1 year of experience in hotel cleaning, housekeeping, or a related service role.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Honest, reliable, and accountable with a proven track record of punctuality.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Resilience to work under pressure, especially during busy periods or special events.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service etiquette is an advantage.
  • Physical stamina to stand, lift, and move cleaning equipment for extended periods.
