Introduction
We are seeking a passionate Guru Pendamping Khusus dan Terapis ABK to join our dedicated early childhood education team. This role focuses on providing individualized support and therapeutic guidance to children with special needs (Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus) in a nurturing environment. As a key member of our inclusive learning community, you will collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals to ensure each child achieves their fullest potential both academically and socially.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEP) tailored to each child’s unique abilities and goals.
- Conduct daily therapeutic sessions, including sensory integration, motor skill development, and emotional regulation activities.
- Provide one‑on‑one classroom assistance, adapting curriculum materials to suit diverse learning styles.
- Observe and assess student progress, documenting outcomes and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Facilitate communication between teachers, parents, and external specialists such as speech therapists and occupational therapists.
- Organize and lead small‑group workshops that promote social interaction, language development, and life‑skill acquisition.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment that respects each child’s dignity and cultural background.
- Participate in regular staff meetings, professional development sessions, and interdisciplinary case reviews.
- Assist in the preparation of educational materials, visual aids, and adaptive equipment.
- Promote a positive attitude toward learning and self‑advocacy among children and their families.
Requirements
- Minimum education: S1 in Psychology, Early Childhood Education (PG PAUD), or related fields such as PLB.
- Fresh graduates are welcome; however, a genuine love for working with children is essential.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and team members.
- Physical and emotional readiness to engage in active, hands‑on learning and therapeutic activities.
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages growth.
- Basic knowledge of child development theories and therapeutic techniques for special needs.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00.
- Professional demeanor, patience, empathy, and a collaborative spirit.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and documentation tools.
