The successful candidate will be responsible for producing a wide range of breads, pastries, and baked goods that meet the exacting standards of our discerning guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a diverse assortment of breads, viennoiseries, cakes, and specialty pastries for hotel restaurants, banquet services, and room‑service menus.
- Develop and execute daily production schedules, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining product freshness and consistency.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, place orders, and conduct regular stock checks to minimize waste.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations in accordance with hotel policies and local health codes.
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and other kitchen stations to align baked goods with menu concepts and guest preferences.
- Utilize the Power Pro System for production planning, cost control, and reporting of baking yields.
- Train junior bakers and kitchen assistants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development.
- Innovate new recipes and seasonal items, incorporating local ingredients and international trends to keep the offering fresh and exciting.
- Conduct regular equipment maintenance and troubleshoot baking machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to special dietary requests and feedback.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of professional experience as a baker/pastry chef in an international hotel chain.
- Fluent in English – both written and spoken – to communicate effectively with guests and multinational team members.
- Proficient with the Power Pro System for inventory and production management.
- Demonstrated good attitude, reliability, and a proven track record of delivering high‑quality baked products.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
