Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of espresso‑based beverages, pour‑overs, cold brews, and other specialty coffee drinks according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Engage customers with friendly, knowledgeable service, answering questions about coffee origins, brewing methods, and menu items.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation, adhering to health‑code regulations and internal hygiene protocols.
- Assist with daily inventory checks, receive deliveries, and restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, and disposables to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Support light food preparation, such as assembling pastries, sandwiches, and snack platters, while upholding food safety standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment, performing routine cleaning and basic troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with teammates to manage peak‑hour rushes, ensuring swift order fulfillment and accurate cash handling.
- Contribute ideas for menu innovation, seasonal promotions, and customer engagement activities.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to deepen coffee knowledge, improve barista techniques, and stay current with industry trends.
- Flexibly work scheduled shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business needs.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year proven experience as a barista in a café or specialty coffee setting.
- All education levels accepted; a passion for coffee and a willingness to learn are essential.
- Strong understanding of coffee extraction, milk texturing, and equipment operation.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with a diverse clientele.
- Team‑player mindset with a proactive attitude in a high‑energy environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail, especially regarding cleanliness, product presentation, and order accuracy.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with a reliable attendance record.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory tracking.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kg when restocking supplies.
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia; additional language skills are a plus.
