Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Professional Barista and Beverage Service Specialist to join our vibrant coffeehouse team. This full‑time position offers a dynamic environment where creativity meets consistency, serving a diverse clientele who appreciate high‑quality coffee and exceptional service. The successful candidate will work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, and will be an integral part of our brand’s reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of espresso‑based drinks, pour‑overs, cold brews, and specialty beverages according to company recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the barista workstation, coffee machines, grinders, and all customer‑facing areas.
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance, including calibration of grinders, cleaning of espresso machines, and reporting any technical issues to the manager.
- Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, pastries, and other consumables, and place orders as needed to prevent stockouts.
- Handle cash transactions, process credit card payments, and accurately balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable service, offering recommendations and educating customers about coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow during peak hours, including delegating tasks and supporting coworkers when needed.
- Assist in training new baristas, sharing best practices for drink preparation, customer interaction, and safety protocols.
- Uphold the brand’s visual standards by arranging product displays, maintaining menu boards, and ensuring the store ambiance reflects our hospitality ethos.
- Collect and analyze customer feedback, suggesting improvements to menu offerings or service processes to management.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum D3/D4 qualification (or equivalent) in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Business, or related field.
- Experience: At least 6 years of professional barista experience, with a minimum of 6 months in a similar role at a high‑volume coffee shop.
- Gender: Preference for female candidates, while maintaining an inclusive workplace.
- Age: Up to 35 years old (maximum limit as per company policy).
- Core Skills:
- Proficient in espresso machine operation, milk frothing, and latte art.
- Strong interpersonal skills – positive attitude, personable, and approachable.
- Team player who thrives in collaborative environments.
- Humble, eager to learn, and open to constructive feedback.
- Responsible, punctual, and able to manage time effectively under pressure.
- Additional Attributes:
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and basic English.
