Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Food & Beverage Service Coordinator intern to join our dynamic team at a world‑class luxury resort. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in the hospitality industry while supporting daily operations across multiple dining venues, from fine‑dining restaurants to casual poolside cafés. As an integral part of the Food & Beverage department, you will work closely with seasoned managers, chefs, and front‑of‑house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating daily service activities for restaurants, bars, and room service, ensuring that all stations are properly set up and staffed.
- Support the preparation of shift rosters, track attendance, and communicate schedule changes to team members.
- Monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies; help process purchase orders and conduct regular stock counts.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure menu items are prepared according to quality standards and dietary specifications.
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints with professionalism, escalating issues when necessary.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, performing routine checks of service areas.
- Prepare and analyze daily service reports, including sales figures, waste tracking, and guest feedback.
- Participate in training sessions, shadow experienced coordinators, and contribute ideas for process improvements.
- Provide support during special events, banquets, and large‑scale functions, coordinating with event planners and vendors.
- Uphold the resort’s brand standards by ensuring all service areas are impeccably groomed and presentable.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Hospitality, Tourism, Culinary, Accounting, Engineering, or Spa Therapy program at a college or vocational school.
- Minimum education level: D3/D4 (or equivalent).
- Mandatory internship program requirement from your educational institution.
- Strong passion for hospitality service and a keen interest in learning hotel operations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Professional appearance and well‑groomed demeanor at all times.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with POS or inventory software is a plus.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional overtime during peak periods or special events.
