Introduction

We are seeking a diligent and friendly Cashier – Transaction Handling to join our fast‑moving retail team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with a few years of retail experience who thrive in a customer‑focused environment. As the face of our store, you will be responsible for ensuring every transaction is processed accurately, efficiently, and with a smile.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system to process cash, credit, and digital payments with precision.
  • Verify product prices, apply discounts, and issue receipts while maintaining compliance with company policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering product queries, and resolving minor issues on the spot.
  • Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift, reporting any discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist with inventory counts, restocking shelves, and ensuring the checkout area is tidy and well‑organized.
  • Collaborate with floor staff to manage peak‑hour traffic, ensuring smooth flow and minimal wait times.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer payment information and adhere to data‑security standards.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or suggest complementary products, contributing to overall sales goals.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on new POS features, promotional campaigns, and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
  • Age: 18 – 30 years.
  • Gender: Open to all genders.
  • Experience: Prior cashier or retail experience is a plus, but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Essential Skills:
    • Proficiency with cash‑handling and POS systems.
    • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods.
    • Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
