We are currently expanding our outreach in Serdang Bedagai, Sumatera Utara, and we seek a motivated Community Officer who is passionate about social impact and community development.
Responsibilities
- Visit assigned villages and neighborhoods to build trusting relationships with women‑entrepreneurs and assess their business needs.
- Provide one‑on‑one business coaching, including basic bookkeeping, cash‑flow management, and disciplined savings practices.
- Facilitate group‑based financing programs that offer capital without collateral, ensuring timely repayment and supporting collective growth.
- Conduct financial literacy workshops that cover topics such as budgeting, loan utilization, and risk mitigation.
- Listen actively to client concerns, propose tailored solutions, and coordinate with internal loan officers to resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, loan disbursements, and repayment schedules using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Report weekly progress to the regional manager, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for program improvement.
- Represent the organization at local community events, fairs, and women’s association meetings to promote our services and recruit new participants.
Requirements
- Female candidates only.
- Age between 18 and 33 years.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; D3 or S1 is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine enjoyment of meeting and networking with people.
- Ability to adapt quickly to diverse community settings and demonstrate detail‑oriented work habits.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Bahasa Indonesia.
- Commitment to a full‑time schedule: Monday‑Friday, 08:00‑17:00.
