Introduction
PT Chiyoda Kogyo Indonesia is seeking motivated and detail‑oriented individuals to join our manufacturing team as Operator Mesin Machining Center. This role is essential to our production line, where precision machining and strict adherence to safety standards drive our success in the high‑tech engineering sector. Candidates will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with engineers, supervisors, and fellow operators to deliver top‑quality components for a range of industrial applications.
Responsibilities
- Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC machining centers and related equipment according to technical drawings and work orders.
- Interpret engineering blueprints, GD&T symbols, and CNC programs to ensure accurate part geometry and tolerances.
- Perform routine inspections of machined parts using calipers, micrometers, and coordinate‑measuring machines (CMM) to verify compliance with specifications.
- Monitor machine performance in real time, adjusting feeds, speeds, and tool offsets to optimize cycle time and surface finish.
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, tool replacement, and minor repairs to minimize downtime.
- Document production data, tool wear, and any deviations in the manufacturing execution system (MES) and report anomalies to the shift supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and occupational safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot process issues, suggest improvements, and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma projects, to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Age: Flexible, with the expectation that candidates meet the physical demands of the role.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Relevant experience: Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred, but fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude are welcome.
- Technical skills:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and CNC programming basics.
- Hands‑on experience with CNC/center machining equipment, or a demonstrable willingness to learn.
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring, PLC concepts, and machine control systems is advantageous.
- Soft skills:
- Strong attention to detail and a disciplined work ethic.
- Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Team player who can collaborate across departments and adapt to shift work (Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00).
