Introduction
The Field Collection Officer – Palopo will join a fast‑growing financial services organization that specializes in insurance and property risk solutions. Based in Palopo, this role is pivotal for maintaining healthy cash‑flow by recovering overdue payments, normalising delinquent accounts, and preserving strong relationships with customers. The successful candidate will work both in the office and in the field, leveraging strong communication skills, negotiation tactics, and a disciplined approach to achieve collection targets.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of both performing (lancar) and non‑performing (tidak lancar) receivables, ensuring timely follow‑up and accurate status updates.
- Conduct proactive outreach to customers via phone calls, formal letters, and on‑site visits to negotiate repayment plans and settle outstanding balances.
- Develop and implement effective collection strategies that convert delinquent accounts back to normal status while adhering to regulatory and company policies.
- Maintain detailed records of all collection activities in the CRM system, including notes on conversations, agreements reached, and any legal actions taken.
- Collaborate closely with the underwriting, sales, and customer service teams to understand the root causes of payment delays and propose preventive measures.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management highlighting collection performance, risk trends, and recommendations for process improvements.
- Build and nurture long‑term relationships with clients, emphasizing a customer‑centric approach that balances firm collection goals with client satisfaction.
- Travel within the Palopo region using a personal vehicle to meet clients face‑to‑face, conduct site inspections, and collect documents when necessary.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, legal changes in debt recovery, and emerging technologies that can enhance collection efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in any discipline; degrees in finance, business, or law are a plus.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in collection, preferably within insurance or property sectors.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; ability to convey complex payment terms clearly.
- Negotiation‑savvy, persuasive, and able to handle difficult conversations with professionalism.
- Highly organized, disciplined, and responsible, with a keen eye for detail in documentation.
- Possess a valid driver’s license (SIM Aktif) and personal vehicle for field visits.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM or collection management software.
