Introduction
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, through its dedicated insurance arm BRI LIFE, is seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Financial Advisor – Bancassurance (BFA) for the Province of North Sumatra (Sumatera Utara). This role serves as the vital link between the bank’s retail network and BRI LIFE’s portfolio of life, health, and education insurance products. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering exceptional service to prospective and existing policyholders.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and renew all required agency licences, certifications, and registrations in accordance with Indonesian law and the regulations of the relevant supervisory authority.
- Promote, market, and close sales of BRI LIFE products—including life insurance, health coverage, and educational savings plans—while adhering strictly to product guidelines and underwriting criteria.
- Uphold the legal framework set by the government and the ethical standards of the Asosiasi Asuransi Jiwa Indonesia (AAJI), ensuring both verbal and written communications reflect professionalism and compliance.
- Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets, contributing to the overall productivity goals of the Bancassurance channel.
- Apply BRI LIFE’s code of business ethics, demonstrating integrity, transparency, and a client‑first attitude in all interactions.
- Prepare, issue, and properly archive policy documents, receipts, and related paperwork for each client, guaranteeing accurate record‑keeping and easy retrieval.
- Provide clear, truthful information to prospective policyholders and insured parties, answering questions about coverage, premiums, and claim procedures.
- Conduct thorough verification of insurance applications, scrutinize submitted data for accuracy, and personally witness the signing of all policy agreements.
- Assist clients in profiling their financial needs, ensuring the selected insurance product aligns with their risk tolerance, life stage, and long‑term objectives.
- Contribute to a collaborative work environment by fostering harmony, respecting workplace rules, and supporting fellow advisors in achieving collective goals.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Maximum age: 35 years.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in insurance sales, bancassurance, or a related financial advisory role.
- Possession of valid agency licence and ability to retain certification under prevailing regulations.
- Strong analytical skills to assess client needs, evaluate risk, and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
- Excellent public speaking and interpersonal communication abilities, enabling effective client presentations and relationship building.
- Knowledge of life, health, and educational insurance products, as well as a solid understanding of relevant legal and regulatory aspects.
- Demonstrated ethical conduct and commitment to the AAJI code of conduct.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for documentation, CRM systems, and basic office software.
