Responsibilities
- Prepare, portion, and season ingredients according to standardized recipes and menu specifications.
- Execute cooking methods—including sautéing, grilling, steaming, and deep‑frying—while maintaining consistent flavor profiles.
- Ensure proper plating and garnish of dishes, adhering to presentation guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct daily stock checks, and communicate requisitions to the kitchen manager.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with local regulations and HACCP principles.
- Collaborate closely with fellow chefs, sous‑chefs, and service staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak service hours.
- Assist in the development and testing of new menu items, contributing creative ideas that reflect current culinary trends.
- Perform routine cleaning of workstations, equipment, and storage areas to uphold a safe and organized kitchen environment.
- Document preparation logs, temperature checks, and any incidents, reporting them promptly to management.
- Participate in regular training sessions, workshops, and skill‑enhancement programs offered by the company.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field; SMK graduates with relevant experience are also considered.
- At least 1 year of professional cooking experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering setting.
- Proficiency in Indonesian cuisine, with a strong grasp of ingredient handling and flavor balancing.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team, communicating clearly and supporting colleagues.
- High level of personal integrity, honesty, and responsibility.
- Commitment to performing the five daily prayers is preferred, reflecting our respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle the demands of a busy kitchen.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional overtime during special events.
