Responsibilities
- Prepare and process raw ingredients according to standardized recipes, ensuring each dish meets the established quality and taste benchmarks.
- Cook and plate menu items promptly, maintaining consistency in flavor, presentation, and portion size for every order.
- Uphold strict hygiene and sanitation standards by keeping the kitchen, equipment, and food storage areas clean and organized.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, record usage, and report replenishment needs to the kitchen supervisor.
- Coordinate production timing to guarantee that orders are ready for service without delay, especially during peak periods.
- Assist in menu development by suggesting new dishes, improving existing recipes, and adapting portions for large‑batch cooking.
- Maintain personal hygiene standards, including trimmed nails, neatly tied hair, and appropriate kitchen attire.
- Collaborate effectively with front‑of‑house staff to ensure smooth order flow and exceptional guest experiences.
Requirements
Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications and personal attributes:
- Education: Minimum of a high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 1 year of hands‑on cooking experience, preferably in a restaurant, warteg, or large‑scale catering environment.
- Technical Skills: Ability to cook in large quantities, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
- Physical Stamina: Capability to stand for extended periods and work quickly without compromising quality.
- Soft Skills: Friendly, polite, and communicative demeanor; strong teamwork orientation; and a willingness to adapt to shift work and weekend schedules.
- Personal Hygiene: Clean appearance, short or neatly trimmed nails, and well‑kept hair.
